This case is sturdy and took me a minute to figure out how to open it and install but after I figured that out it was easy. I spilled a little olive oil on the case and the phone was fine but I cannot seem to get that oily touch and look out of the rubber of whatever the case is made of.So, this case appears to have great protection. It looks and feels great. However, there must be a sensor problem that disrupts the screen/display when making calls. The screen flashes on and off constantly not allowing me to dial, end a call, put a call on speaker. It is a real problem. The phone works perfectly without the case. I've contacted the company via voicemail and email. I've read reviews on Hard Candy as a company and they appear to have no customer service so we shall see. If they rectify the situation and it's fixed, I will update my review. I probably should have bought an Otterbox.I finally got the case on Saturday 10/13 and by Monday 10/15 1:30 PM EDT it was ripped and I had discovered that the hard frame interfeses with the phone's ability to display the keypad when on a call (I use this feature everytime I pay a credit card bill by phone, need to connect with a particular department at a business, etc.), look for contacts when on a call, switch to/from hands free, etc. It also prevented me from disconnecting from calls every single time I made a call. I had to use the power-off button. I shook the phone, I tapped on the screen over and over and nothing except removing the case allowed me to use the phone properly. It is going back. And ripping 20 hours into use? I cannot believe I paid 5 dollars for this case let alone 45.have uses case often on for the last year. The reason I say often known is because the case will randomly call Siri and make it where you can't use your keyboard have half the time. Yes you can throw this case down a flight of stairs with no phone damage. But be prepared to take case off a least twice a day. To hang up phone or use keyboard.Looked BIG in the box but size is right. Well constructed. No problems with the phone operation. Sounds are fine. I'm a little rough on my phone and seems to be perfect protection against drops. I would buy it again.The thing is super durable. My iPhone survived a drop of 30 ft, complete with bouncing off all manner of rocks. Not even a scuff on the phone. That being said, keep in mind that it is pretty thick and the rubber texture does kind of make it stick inside your pocket. Hey though, I'll take that over a cracked phone any day.The fingerprint reader is covered. Don't order if you have a 5s.This is a fine product and I would have kept it, however,we returned it because it was too bulky for my daughter.
