best collar I ever bought!fits and looks great! I have bought several different colors and styles!Have always used these collars .....BUT NEVER AGAINFortunately we were at home when our two Golden Retrievers were playing in the garden. I heard a blood curdling howl, ran out to see one of them had managed to hook it's teeth around the collar. Both dogs panicked, one was being strangled and the other was in severe pain as the harder he pulled, the more pressure he put on his teeth. If my husband had not been at home I dread to think what the outcome would have been. He rushed in to get scissors whilst I tried to calm both dogs down. To cut a long story short managed to cut through the collar and both dogs were very distressed after such an ordeal.This was Amazon's response: I understand the how you feel. Amazon would only refund the one I cutDO NOT BUY - THEY ARE DANGEROUSHave always used a harness for our little Jackahuahua but following a delicate operation after which he wasn't eating much and lost weight, he managed to slip out of his harness and then was too frightened to have it put on (rescue dog from streets of Romania). We decided to switch to a martingale collar in a last ditch attempt to get him to come for walks. His neck is wider than his head so I knew buying this collar was a risk (he could slip out of it) but we have been really pleased with this item. Took some adjusting to get the fit right but we put it on and there it has stayed and we can just attach his lead and off we go for walks! There's no fuss trying to get his harness on and off and the collar doesn't bother him at all. We keep a close eye on him out on walks to make sure it stays put and that he's secure. The item is extremely well made and the lovely blue colour matches his ID tag perfectly. I love the little stars around it...really cute for our sweet, gentle little baby. Would definitely recommend this item and would buy Red Dingo products again!Okay you can't see the collar in the photo but got to match his bow tie! He has two of these collars and they are fab at the job of reining him back. He can pull but not much and relaxes quickly after excitement of walk. Does the job of the old half choke chains but much more gentle and safe.Might just be my dog ? He still pulled so much he ended up with a purple tongue, stupid I know but I’ve tried everything else.Just bought a normal softer collar I can’t do with him choking.Love these collars. This is our 4th only due to having to size up for a growing puppy. The practicality of being able to throw them in the wash is great, they come out like new. It has been admired buy other dog walkers since it stands out compared to the usual collar on offer. The Martinggale style with the patterned design is also fun for a crazy puppy to wear. Will keep coming back to this company Red Dingo, they have been great so far!
