You can adjust the cushion by how tight you wrap the grip. It has the right amount of tackiness. If you suffer from your grip spinning then this is the grip for you, no-slip.Easy to install, nice cushioning. I use it on a Head Liquidmetal Radical to compensate for the relative stiffness of the frame, trying to protect my wrist from the shocks. It seems to make a difference so far.It weighs about as much as my previous grip and overgrip combined. I still add an overgrip though, to get better cushioning than my previous setup. I needed to remove some lead from the buttcap due to the extra weight on the handle. Overall the grip size increased by a small amount, from 4 1/4 to 4 3/8. Luckily Head grip sizing seems smaller than Wilson or Babolat, otherwise the grip may be too big now, with the Shock Shield replacement grip plus overgrip on top.I don't like over-grips and I need more thickness and tack. These are great replacement grips for me. They are long enough to grip up the cap, if you like a high grip. If you use a single racket playing three times a week, they should last you about 6 months of playing before you need to re-grip again. I only re-grip these when they look really worn - they still maintain good tack throughout their life.My daughter uses these on her batons. She loves this tape.
