Stiff,good quality leatherLike all things produced by Strict Leather, this collar exhibits excellent workmanship and top notch materials.While you canʻt tell from the illustration, the entire inside layer of the leather collar is smooth. No rivets or grommets pass through it to scratch the wearerʻs neck. And yes, I do mean layer since the collar is constructed from three layers of leather stitched together. Note that the collar has three D rings not just two as shown by the photo.On the negative side, the hardware seems lighter than the hardware on the matching Premium Wrist and Ankle Cuffs. The D rings are thinner and the buckle doesnʻt seem as stout, even though its the same design. This is probably not an issue since these fittings wonʻt bear the stress that the cuff fittings do. But still, it would be nicer if they matched.One last thing, that I canʻt fault them for since its clearly in the description, this collar is WIDE!!! I didnʻt realize how wide 2 1/2" was until I buckled it onto my submissive. It virtually becomes a posture collar holding her neck and head upright. Again, not a fault, but something you should measure and think about before ordering. The smooth rolled edges of the leather keep the collar comfortable even with its width.On a positive note, the width of the collar spreads any stress to the neck over a wider area and therefore is safer than thinner collars. I would definitely recommend this collar for anyone interested in pro-dom quality leather goods.I'm honestly quite blown away by this collar. I collared my slave in 2011 and I've bought him several play collars (as well as his full-time metal collar he wears daily) since then. This has replaced his metal collar as his wear-around-the-house everyday collar. It is incredibly well made and looks beautiful on him.Pros:* Incredibly well made. The leather is thick and well stitched, and the ability to lock is a huge plus.* Very soft and comfortable. After only a few times wearing it, it felt broken in and very soft on my slave's neck.* This collar is really wide. It almost works as a posture collar -- I was surprised by the thickness but enjoy the look on a male slave.* The price, in my opinion, is fabulous. $35 dollars for a high-quality leather collar is a great deal. You get your money's worth.* Multiple D-rings make binding my slave a snap. I do wish these D-rings were a bit thicker like they are on some of my other collars.Cons:* It honestly took a while to think one up... the leather strap is a bit long and it frayed somewhat easily. The fraying looks a bit shoddy in comparison to the rest of the collar. It's honestly a quite small flaw, though, and was an easy fix.In short, this collar is amazing for the price and I would highly recommend it to others.This product is top-notch and provides craftsmanship of the highest caliber. Once secured upon your neck, you cannot help but feel a twinge of submissiveness, and it's quite sad once it must come off. The material is high-quality and will not break anytime soon. The metal rings also prove to be of the same sturdiness, as does the buckle mechanism itself. The buckle also has an option for a padlock should someone want you to be locked in the collar for longer than you deem necessary; but then again, that just makes this product so much more exciting, and thus entirely worth every penny spent.This is my first purchase from Strict Leather, and I couldn't be happier with it. Having sampled quite a bit of low-quality products, I can appreciate the quality of materials and attention to detail that went into this product.The inside layer is soft leather with no rivets exposed, making it comfortable for long-term wear.The outside strap with the locking buckle is made out of very tough leather, so it will not break or rip, even when under a normal amount of strain.When tightened properly, the collar can be made snug, so that the wearer is always aware it's there, but not so tight that it chokes.3 heavy-duty D-rings are attached as well, allowing you to get creative.Once again, very high quality. If you can handle the price, this is the one to get, you won't be disappointed. And the price is pretty good if you're looking to get a good collar that will last a while.Although it didnt fit my neck, 12in taunt around. I was hoping 13in would give me some breathing room without it being too tight. I was wrong.I wouldn't use the last 2 eylets as it is difficult to loop around with the band overlapping, plus it looks funny seeing the belt strap part (sorry I dont know what the proper name is) sticking out the back or through one of the 3 metal loops.It is very thick, Made for someone with a very long neck. Mine is 7in and it was too tall.**note** when measuring the height of your neck measure from the side of your neck where the muscle meets to see how tall your neck is.I do recommend the Quality and workman ship. Very sturdy and beautiful. Just didn't work out in my favor this time.Only complaint is that it is not bigger. Comfortable once it is broken inThis is a well built collar. The extra two d rings built in also make it very nice for binding. Easy to clip to and tie a rope to as well.The only reason I did not give this collar five stars is that it is a little to wide for the female neck. I have been told by two persons that it pushes up under the chin and rubs, causing irritation. Otherwise it is a well built collar, just needs to be a quarter inch thinner.A good quality item, but if you have a large neck >17.5" you may find that you'll struggle to get it to buckle up, nice and secure though if you can do it up securely and a small padlock makes it even better.Secure and comfortable. Built to take some punishment!Great quality, heavy duty, long lasting. Totally worth it.love the weight it has. nice and rigid. needs a break in period.
