I thought I measured my dog for it, but the outfit was too big on my dog. But, I'm still going to give it a good review because I feel it's a very nice product. So many different kinds of outfits out there for doggies, but some seem so difficult to put on. This one is easier because it doesn't require the dog to have to step into it. There are "velcros" on both sides to allow you to wrap it around the dog. There's a high collar that can be worn up or folded down. One side is plaid, with a reflective strip, while the other side is a soft, "pineapple" patterned plushy fabric. It is advertised as "reversible," but I personally don't feel that one would want to wear the plushy side out as there is no reflective strip on that side and it would get wet. Wearing the plushy soft side in keeps the dog very warm; even though it was too big on my dog, just by putting it on the dog for a bit to try I could already feel the warmth it created. Given the right size, I think this would make a very nice warm coat for anyone's dog.Definitely worth the price. This coat is warm and easy to put on my dog. Reversing it would defeat it's reflective strip and insulative layer.My dog's girth is 17.5 inches so I got the medium coat (M:Chest-17.3"-20.8",Neck-12.6"-14.9”,Length-14.1"). I should have gone with the small. The waistband hangs low and is not very adjustable.Perfect for midwest winter. Stays on via velcro, sizing was perfect. They get so cold during the winter, but most coats are a very poor fit for them, with their big wide chests and shoulders, and relatively short bodies. A coat is either the right length, and way too small around the chest and neck, or fits in the front and then hangs way down over their tail. People think that bigger dogs don't need coats, but pit bull owners know that they are often precious delicate flowers that wilt the moment there's a slight chill in the air, and live in sweaters for half the year.I bought this coat in purple for my guy, and red for my girl, in size XL. They're both around 60 lbs right now. The coats fit them great! The underbelly portion has very stretchy elastic and attaches with velcro, so it fits a range of chest measurements. The material is very soft, and it has a cute little furry collar to keep the wind from blowing in, which is nice because my dogs hate hoods. The best part is that the coat covers their entire chest and belly! Often with barrel chested dogs, you have to get the style of coat that has just a little velcro strip underneath, and that's really not as warm.And they look so fashionable, to boot. Great purchase, perfect for my dogs, love it.
