I bought this for me to go with my Halloween outfit and it’s really bigI needed a quick solution to help curb my younger dogs need to hang on my older dogs neck all the time soo wasn’t expecting anything more then a thin cheap spiked collar. I was surprised when it showed up and is actually really thick and solid feeling. Having huskies I am used to spending a good deal of money on high end collars so we don’t have escapes. I haven’t tested this one in that regard but it feels solid enough I think it would hold. At this time I am loving the collar. It is not super wide so he seems comfortable with it. He is old and she is a young brat. Anything to help curb this behavior!2nd one of this exact collar. First one was tough. Lasted 18 months with our medium size pitty/greyhound. Really loved this collar, spikes and skull included. Same dog and this collar didn't last a week. My dog was on a 20' chain and the D-ring broke the collar material while playing with kids. Looked at the threading where the material is around the D-ring and the thread seemed weak, definitely not strong enough to hold a medium size dog. Won't buy again. Having an actual leather studded collar made with the ☠️.I have had this thing for about 2 months now, give or take. We use it for our German Shepard/Saint Bernard/black lab puppy, he is 7 months old and stands as tall as I do, I'm 5'2. He is a very strong boy and is always running until the lead outside stops him, it has not broke, its a really strong collar.This Dog Collar is most awesome! I have a a beautiful black & white pit bull / Lab mix named Ms. Mary Jane. She is a puppy .... and she is pretty rough on things!! She is not easy on collars, leashes and harnesses. It can be a little frustrating at times! To add to the problem, she has pretty much slipped out or broken most every collar we have purchased for her .... And so, I became determined to find a collar that would be durable, sturdy and also ditch-proof. This collar definitely fits the bill!Ms. Mary Jane loves her new collar. She doesn't even try to take it off. She sports it about and shows it off like she's a doggie fashion icon. I know ... it sounds funny, but it's very true.I don't understand other reviews who have said their collars have failed on them. I've had this collar on our puppy for several weeks now and it shows no wear or tear ... no signs of breakage of any sort! It has retained every bit of it's structure and every detail remains on it as when we first purchased it.We are very pleased with our purchase and would heartily recommend this to friends & family! It's a winner!I wanted a delicate looking spike collar to protect my dogs neck if he should get attacked. I did not want some big bad junk yard looking spike collar but I wanted one thick enough to protect his neck. This one is classy and suits my purpose. It is a little stiff so I wouldn’t recommend keeping it on them all the time. I only put it on when I go for a walkThis collar is super cool and stylish looking. It is very durable looks great on my girl. She loves it and hates to have it taken off for her baths. The buckles are heavy duty bronze. It is a very wide collar so if you have a small dog it may not be to suitable. The only negative I can possibly put on this collar is that the black paint on the spikes does chip off a bit when she is aggressively playing outdoors with her training collar on. But it's not enough of an issue for me to not give it a 5 star review. I'll probably just polish them to a shiney silver eventually and it may look even better that way. And the price is well worth it, a cheap nylon collar at my local pet store cost 5 dollars more than this and was made with cheap plastic buckles.The only reason. why I am giving this 4 stars is because even though I measured my pups neck... the collar was still a bit large. I should've gotten an extra small instead. But, this time it's fine because I have a friend who's pup could use this? it is a beautiful collar and definitely worth the money!Didn’t last very long, should have returned it, as faulty I think, but it was brought for my Sons dogI bought this for myself as part of a Rocky Horror Costume.
