My cat has to get stomach surgery so we let him stay in the E Collar for 2 day. We looked at 2 alternatives, this body suit and a soft bread shaped e collar. While the toast was also cute, he was clever enough to still reach his wound site so this cat onesie is a great alternative! My cat is over 11lbs and the large fits him perfectly. The holes expose his crotch area so he can still go to the bathroom. He’s a good boy so he has not tried to rip holes into it or lick his wound through the bodysuit. To add, he just looks so comfortable in it! I’m happy he’s able to recover well. The fabric is great quality and the Velcro is very secure. He has not tried to escape out of it. He’s a very happy cat without the e collar.This was for my kitten who's about 8 months old for her spay surgery. She's almost adult with a long skinny body. The vet didn't really want me to use it because someone used one for their cat after the procedure and it got infected. I used it anyway while making sure the spay area wasn't too tight and there's air flow. I make sure to check every day. My cat did look cute. She was definitely more comfortable with this than with the cone that I tried to use for a very very short time.I call this a kitty onesie. My cat Sally has a sore on her belly due to overgrooming and is now on anxiety medication to decrease her overgrooming tendencies. Our vet has told us that it may take up to 6 weeks for the medication to decrease Sally's overgrooming habit. In the meantime, this breathable onesie prevents Sally from licking her belly sore and allowing it to get infected. Sally doesn't love wearing this onesie, but she has gotten used to it over the last 3 weeks. She is able to do everything she needs to do such as walk, eat, drink, and use the litter box on her own wearing the onesie. She has full range of motion, but definitely is less active when wearing this versus not. We think it may feel a bit snug on her like a Thundershirt which provides a "calming hug" sensation. We bought 2 of these and put a clean one on Sally at least every other day while we wash the other one. They have been durable for regular machine washing and drying too. We are sure to take the onesie off our cat for up to 20 minutes each day while watching her closely so she doesn't make her belly sore worse. We have been very happy with this product. The onesie fits as expected based on the dimensions provided on Amazon.Just what I neededmy cat is about 12 pounds he got neutered and i didn’t want to put a cone on him so i got him this . overall i think it’s a good product . in my opinion i would wait a day or so to put it on your cat because they need to find their balance and since they’re on medication after surgery they could be a little anxious. just be careful because my cat did bite a few holes in the shirtOur cat repeatedly slipped out of the post-surgical onesie the vet sold us within the first day, so I ordered this 1. It arrived yesterday, we put it on her & so far she’s still wearing it. She’s tiny for an adult cat, but the M fit her well. I won’t say it’s comfy, because she seems quite unhappy in it, but we have to protect that abdominal area until she’s fully recovered! I can’t comment on durability because we just got it, but if it just lasts until her 10-day recovery period is over & we can keep it on her, it will be money well spent.We ordered the camo post surgical shirt in medium first, it was too short. So we ordered another in large. The return was super easy for the medium and we received the large the next day. It fit our Lil Bub puurfectly, and though he took a moment to adjust to it (first picture)... he realized it was SOO much better than a cone! He was finally able to get comfortable and get some well needed sleep (second picture), and we don't have to worry about him licking or scratching his sutures. The sizing airs on the smaller side so make sure to pay close attention to measurements.
